Another benefit is that a Waterjet has a small kerf / width, of cut ( 0.04 with abrasive) which allows for parts to be closely nested together, cutting down on scrap intern saves the customer money
What is a Waterjet?

To cut hard materials like different metals, glass and a variety of stone, an abrasive is added most commonly granite.
